Frequently asked questions
Good
to know.
Does Microsoft Intune replace antivirus software?
No. Intune manages devices and checks whether they meet your rules. Protection against malware is handled by Windows Security and ESET NOD32 Antivirus.
Do I need a special licence for Intune?
Intune is included in certain Microsoft 365 plans or available separately. We check your existing licences and advise you.
Does this also work with smartphones?
Yes. Smartphones and tablets can also be enrolled with Intune – for private devices, if you wish, in a way that only company data is managed.
What happens if a notebook is stolen?
If BitLocker is active, the data on the device stays encrypted. In addition, the device can be locked or wiped via Intune.
Does this also apply to Macs?
Yes. MacBooks can also be managed with Intune and set up according to your rules.
