Short and concrete: what we process, why, and what you can do.
Who is responsible
PCFOX GmbH, Eichweg 6, 8154 Oberglatt, Switzerland, is responsible for the processing of personal data on this website. Please direct privacy questions to helpdesk@pcfox.ch or by phone to +41 43 500 40 30.
This policy follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
The most important points first
- We use no cookies, no analytics and no advertising services.
- Fonts, videos and scripts come from our own server, not from third-party servers.
- We only process personal data when you contact us and for the technically necessary operation of the website.
Visiting the website
When you access the website, our hosting provider, Metanet AG (Switzerland), stores technically necessary access data: IP address, date and time, file requested, amount of data transferred, and information about browser and operating system. We need this data to provide the website, operate it securely and prevent misuse (legitimate interest). It is kept only as long as necessary for this purpose.
In your browser, the website only locally remembers your language choice (DE, EN, FR or SR) and, per session, that the automatic language selection based on system language and time zone has already taken place. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
Contact form, e-mail and phone
If you write to us via the form, we process your details: name, e-mail address, subject and message, and optionally company and phone number. We use them to answer your request and to prepare support or a quote. The basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box in the form. You can withdraw it at any time.
Technically it works like this: the form sends your details to our server in encrypted form. From there we hand them to the e-mail service Resend (Resend, Inc., USA), which delivers the message to our mailbox helpdesk@pcfox.ch at Microsoft 365. Resend acts on our behalf and only for delivery. Our server does not store the content of your message.
To protect against automated misuse, the form checks a hidden field and limits the number of messages per hour. For this, the server briefly keeps a counter with an unreadable hash of your IP address.
If you write to us by e-mail or call us, we likewise process your details only to answer your request. We keep requests as long as necessary for processing and as long as retention obligations apply, for example for business correspondence.
Disclosure and transfers abroad
The only recipients are service providers we use for hosting, form delivery and e-mail (Metanet AG, Resend, Microsoft). We do not sell data. Data may also reach countries outside Switzerland, for example the EU or the USA. Where no recognised adequate level of data protection exists there, we safeguard the transfer with appropriate guarantees, such as standard contractual clauses.
Links to third parties
If you click links to third parties, for example the download of the remote support module at TeamViewer, the privacy terms of the respective provider apply there.
Your rights
You can request information about your personal data as well as its correction, deletion, restriction or release. You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. Please write to helpdesk@pcfox.ch.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, www.edoeb.admin.ch).
Security
The website is delivered encrypted (HTTPS). We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data from unauthorised access.
Changes
We adapt this policy when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
